We are thrilled you want to volunteer with us. Our volunteers are the backbone of our rescue. Did you know everyone at GRHS is a volunteer other than our key Kitty Korner employees?! We can't wait to introduce you to our organization and the team that makes it all happen. Please take a few minutes to read through the website. Learn our foster and adoption processes (no quizzes...we promise), and read the stories of the animals whose lives have been changed through Grand Rivers Humane Society. Volunteer at Dog Adoption Events
Join us at our GRHS Saturday Dog Adoption Events to help walk dogs, socalize them with humans, and help find them their forever home! 9am to 1pm every Saturday. Location varies.
Foster a dog!
All of our adoptable dogs live at Mesa County Animal Services, the county shelter. We love to get our dogs into a loving foster home where they can be the best version of themeselves. GRHS will cover any needs that arise while fostering.
Foster a cat!
Our Kitty Korner location has room for some cats but we always need cat fosters! Grand Rivers Humane Society will cover any needs that arise while fostering.
Volunteer at Kitty Korner
Volunteer between 10am-1pm at Kitty Korner location helping to socialize cats, clean cages/litter boxes, help cats find their furever homes.
