Why Do

Rescues Have Adoption Fees?

Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help Grand Rivers Humane Society cover vaccination and medical prep costs for the pets.

Adoption

Fees:

Dogs
  • $200 - Puppies/Dogs aged between 0 months through 1 months
  • $200 - Dogs aged 2 months through 6 months
  • $160 - Dogs aged 7 months through years 2
  • $160 - Dogs aged 3 years through year 8
  • $160 - Dogs aged 9 years and up
Cats
  • $150 - Kittens aged between 0 months through 2 months
  • $100 - Cats aged 3 months through 6 months
  • $100 - Cats aged between 7 months through years 5
  • $100 - Cats aged 5 years through year 11
  • $100 - Cats aged 11 years and up

Fees for Dogs with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.

Adoption

Inclusions:

Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help Grand Rivers Humane Society cover vaccination and medical prep costs for the dogs. At adoption, Grand Rivers Humane Society dogs will be current on their vaccines and will have the following:

Dogs
  • Rabies (1 yr. or 3 yr.)
  • Distemper (DHLPP or DHLPP-C)
  • Parvo
  • Bordetella
  • Negative Heartworm Test
  • Altered - Females Spayed or Males Neutered
Cats
  • Rabies & FVRCP
  • Test for Feline Leukemia & AIDS
  • Worming
  • Fle/Ear Mite treatments
  • Altered - Females Spayed or Males Neutered
  • Microchipped
