Rufus is a little more shy, but a super sweet special needs boy. He enjoys people in a calm and familiar setting, but can be a little unsure about being handled unless it's on his own terms. He will need a cozy place for him to feel safe in. With some patience Rufus would be a great companion. He has such a loud purr that travels throughout the room. He can sometimes growl when being approached, but if you love on him with confidence he will appreciate the attention. Rufus only has his canine teeth due to a condition called stomatitis. Stomatitis is a painful, inflammatory disease that affected his teeth. It is not contagious. Since his teeth have been pulled, Rufus has been very happy, in much less pain and learning how to be more brave everyday!
