Xylie is a sweet, sensitive, goofy cattle dog/heeler mix lady who is a little slow to show her true colors with new people. She is starting to enjoy affection from someone she trusts, but she does not demand it. We think that she may have been a ranch dog and was not given much affection or had positive interactions for the first 8 years of her life. At 8 years old, Xylie is looking for a quiet home and a person or two to call her own! We think an adult only home, or a home with older mellow kids would be the best fit for Xylie. She enjoys all kinds of walks from short, mellow, or long. She is a gentle girl that seems to coexist with the friendly cat in her foster home as well as the ducks that are contained by a fence. She also co-exists with dogs well and likes to meet new friends on walks, but due to her herding dog personality, Xylie would do best without having to share her people with another dog. She is not aggressive, she is just that typical cattle dog who wants everything to go her way! She is currently living in a quiet foster home with 5 other mellow dogs (mostly seniors) and her personality is already blossoming! She would definitely thrive without having to share her people or things. :) Right now, Xylie will be available to meet through one on one meet and greets with her foster. The adoption events are a little to busy for this sensitive lady!
