Hi there, I'm Milo. I've been through a little more than most dogs in their lives have. That doesn't mean I've lost my trust in people - I still always want to be around them. If you sit down, there's a good chance I'll be rolling over beside you asking for belly rubs within just a few seconds. I'm a sweet, gentle boy with a slightly active personality and I'd make a great companion for someone who isn't looking for the nonstop adventure buddy. Just a long stroll around the neighborhood is enough to keep me happy! I ride well in cars (although I need some help getting into them), do well around other dogs, and would do good around kids too! I can be a goofball and love a good play session every once in a while. Honestly, I'm happiest whenever there's people, playing, and attention in my life.
I do have something important to share: I was diagnosed with cancer when I wound up here at the shelter. The nice people at the rescue had my tumor tested and found out it was dermal hemangiosarcoma. They did have my tumor removed and I seem to be doing good so far! The people who know me best are always happy to answer any particular questions about my cancer and what my future looks like. Even with that diagnosis, I’m still just Milo—a loving, happy boy with so much affection left to give. I deserve a home where I can be spoiled, cherished, and loved for exactly who I am.
