I've found my furever family!

Hi, I'm Maverick! I'm a confident boy who loves my people, enjoys running around my yard, and is always ready to see what adventure might be waiting around the corner. I can be a little aloof with strangers, but don't mistake that for being unfriendly—I'm just more interested in hanging out with the people I already know. Once you're part of my crew, though, I'm incredibly sweet and absolutely adore attention. Treats are also an excellent way to get on my flight plan!

Like any good hound, I have a mind of my own, and occasionally my nose files a different flight plan than the one my humans had in mind. That's why I'd love a fenced yard and a family who understands hounds and is willing to keep working with my stubborn streak. I may do well with other dogs and kids, though we don't know about cats yet. More than anything, I want someone who will let me stretch my legs, take me on adventures, and appreciate that sometimes a hound has to follow his nose. If you're ready for your own Maverick, just remember: I feel the need... the need for treats.
