Meet MacCree: A Brindle Beauty with a Heart of Gold!
A note from her fosters: Don't let her initially intimidating looks fool you – MacRee (Her fosters call her Maple) is a total cuddle bear who's bursting with love! This brindle beauty is as sweet as syrup, with amber eyes to match, and she's ready to shower her forever family with affection.
MacRee is a smart cookie who already knows "sit," "shake," and "lay down." She's incredibly food-motivated, making her a joy to train, especially with high-value treats. This love for treats is also helping her excel with her leash training. While she's a dream on the leash in distraction-free environments, a little redirection with treats and commands helps her stay focused when there are exciting things around. She's making great progress and will continue to improve with consistent positive reinforcement!
One of MacRee's most endearing qualities is her dog-friendliness. She absolutely adores other dogs and loves to play! She's even become best friends with my daughter's dog, a Lab/Pit mix, proving she's great at making new canine pals. And great news for cat lovers: MacRee is good with cats! She shows zero aggression and is just playfully curious towards them, making her a potential feline friend. We've also discovered that she LOVES little kids and is wonderful with them!
MacRee is a medium-energy dog. She enjoys her walks and can happily play with her dog friends for extended periods, but she also knows how to relax and chill out when it's time to unwind. She's not a couch potato, but she's far from hyper, making her a wonderfully balanced companion.
This charming girl also surprised us in the bath – she did wonderfully, showing no signs of protest and actually seeming to enjoy the water! Beyond her endearing personality, MacRee has a silly side, complete with the most hilarious facial expressions that are sure to bring a smile to your face. Plus, she's a fantastic co-pilot and rides great in the car!
