Hi, I'm Gavin! I know I might look like a big, intimidating guy when you first see me, but I promise there's a whole softie hiding underneath this handsome exterior. My favorite things include spending time with people, getting those just right scratches behind my ears, and enjoying a nice walk with my favorite human. I'm a pretty good leash walker and do well around other dogs, so I'm ready to head out and explore the world with someone by my side. Honestly, if you scratch behind my ears long enough, we might never make it very far down the sidewalk!
I actually came into the shelter alongside a couple of Grand River's other dogs, Blondie and Magnolia, but they've had their chance to find their next chapters, and now it's finally my turn. I'm hoping to find a family who sees past my size and gets to know the affectionate, easygoing boy I really am. We don't know how I feel about cats or kids yet, so those introductions would need to be approached thoughtfully. But if you're looking for a big companion who will happily walk beside you, lean in for affection, and remind you that the biggest dogs can have the softest hearts, I'd love to meet you. My next chapter is waiting, and I'd really like to write it with you.
