Hi... I'm Ella. I might be hiding behind the legs of my friends here at first, but I'm trying my very best to be brave. The world around me at the shelter feels too big at times and sudden or loud noises especially can make me nervous. I'm going to need a family that understands I might need some time to learn that everything is going to be okay. It would help me most to have a confident dog already in your home so that way I don't have to face new things alone anymore. I think I will thrive and come out of my shell once I get the heck outta here!
Even though I'm shy, I really am a sweet little girl. Once I trust you, I blossom into a soft, playful puppy. I absolutely LOVE toys and fetch and tug are my favorite games to play. On top of that, I'm a cuddle bug. I've got some quirks that my friends think are funny - cameras on "selfie" mode are absolutely fascinating, along with soft whistles and video noises from your phone (I even do those adorable head tilts as I try to figure out where the noise is coming from).
Because I'm still learning to be a confident lady, I'd do best in a calmer home without younger kids. They scare me a little right now. I want someone who is going to let me take things at my own pace and be gentle with me as I adjust. Then, I'll let you soak up all the attention I've been saving up for the right person!
