Hi, I'm Smithy! If I had it my way, I'd spend most of my day being carried around like a baby, curled up in your lap, or simply hanging out wherever you are. I don't need to be the center of attention—I just love being close to my people. I'm a sweet, affectionate boy who enjoys taking life one adventure at a time, especially if I get to share it with my favorite humans. I also walk nicely on a leash and would love to be your partner for walks, errands, or wherever the day takes us.
I can be a little shy when I meet new people or experience new things, so I appreciate slow introductions and a little patience while I build my confidence. Once I know I'm safe, my loving personality really shines. I wouldn't mind sharing my home with kids or other dogs, and we think I may do well with cats too (as long as they're not tiny bottle baby kittens), though we can't say for certain just yet.
